Christmas is Coming!

Christmas Day is not until December 25 but there are two opportunities before then for you to have some fun and find out more about Christmas.

On Thursday, December 11 anytime from 3pm until 10pm you can come and make Christmas cookies at Carla's house. You don't have to stay for the whole time - but come when you can and help make some delicious cookies.

Then on Saturday, December 13 at 7pm we will be having a Christmas Party at Tom and Ann's house (behind The Wisdom Tree). Bring a friend! We will be playing a gift swapping game so everyone needs to bring a small wrapped gift that costs no more than 50 Baht to swap with someone else.

American Thanksgiving (2008)

On Saturday our "family" celebrated American Thanksgiving with Grandma and Grandpa, Mum and Dad, 4 Aunts and about 33 cousins! For dinner we ate chicken with gravy (turkey is cheap in America but very expensive in Thailand!), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, shoe-peg corn, bread rolls and cranberry sauce.

A Charlie Brown cartoon told us all about the first Thanksgiving, we made mini-turkeys, played some games, sang some songs and everyone told us something that they were thankful for.

For dessert we had pumpkin pie and apple crisp and then some students battled it out in a game of Settlers of Catan while others sang the night away playing UltraStar.
